Join in or just listen - no auditions are necessary.

The History of the Choir

The choir, which celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2014, began in the living room of its founder at Napton-on-the-Hill in Warwickshire. It got its name from the Windmill which stands on the top of the hill overlooking the village. Since then the choir has travelled extensively, in the UK, Holland and Ireland, singing a wide range of music from major choral works to sing-alongs, from church music to Gilbert and Sullivan.
For several years the choir sang at the Royal Show at Stoneleigh and on one occasion were privileged to meet Her Majesty the Queen.
A highlight of the Choir's year is a visit to one of our great Cathedral Churches to sing services. Past visits have included :

  • Exeter
  • Chester
